Blogging Tips

There are many things I can personally improve or work on. One tip that I will work on is to choose wisely. What I mean by that is to choose my topic, grammar, and language wisely. I believe that most of my old blogs weren't fit in that criteria so they weren't up to par. I have learned to use advanced vocabulary these past few years and it has benefited my blogging. I think I will get better at this by memorizing more words.

Another tip I will work on is to use images. Last year I struggled to find pictures that had to do with what I was writing about, since I did book blogs frequently and most of them were about the same book I had to find a picture that didn't repeat itself. Since we're using iPads our class is trying to find a way to get the images onto our blogs, but once we find that way I'll edit my blogs and put in relevant pictures.

Best Trip Ever

I've been to many trips these past years but I'll write about the recent one I went to. Most of my family members live in a different state or country so I don't see any of them unless they come visit here. When my dad told me we were going to see my family in Georgia I was really excited and I was also excited that I got to miss school for two days. Besides me being excited I was also nervous because I didn't see them for almost four years and didn't know what I would talk to them about.

We woke up at 5 am and I was really tired but at the same time I was ready to leave. The ride to the airport was short and we soon boarded our plane. I didn't sleep at all during the flight which surprised me because I love to sleep but in 3 hours we got to Georgia. The first thing I noticed was that there's a lot of trees and forests everywhere and I'm not used to that. My uncle picked us up and drove us to his house which was huge and I was a little jealous. We went all over Georgia and visited the world of Coca Cola which was really cool and every night I was there we watched a scary movie.

During my trip I was antisocial and talked when they asked me questions but I got used to my cousins quickly and we had a good time. The only thing I regret is not seeing them sooner because they're good people and they're the closest family I have right now. Anyway, this really was the best trip.

Summer Reading Blog

The main characters, Quentin and Margo are described as opposites compared to one another. For example, Margo is more of an adventurous person and is very social. Quentin has few friends and doesn't like taking many risks. Margo rebels against her parents strict image they have of her.

Margo's persona is more rebellious than the rest of the characters. A conversation between Quentin and Margo on page 26 says, "I swear to God that you will not be asked to commit a felony." This quote shows that since Quentin knows about what Margo is capable of and how she likes getting in trouble, he is nervous of what's to come. Margo's description is not only shown in the author's words but also shown in how the characters react to her.

Quentin is more laid back and enjoys being bored. "That's how you know you're having fun," Margo said. But it didn't feel like fun; it felt like a heart attack." This quote is showing that Margo's antics are new to Quentin and he isn't sure what he's getting himself into. Clearly this shows that Quentin is more of a person to follow the rules and not get in trouble but because of the effect Margo has on him, he does the opposite of what he follows.
